Biblical Womanhood
Life sure is perplexing and crazy these days, but you are seeing me in my sweet happy place, the kitchen! I’m Charlotte, and I live in the southwest with my husband Jack. My desire with this blog is to share the joys of Biblical Womanhood with my sisters in Christ.
Titus 2 Life
Since I became a Christian in 1981, the Lord has blessed me with precious younger women friends. With these sisters I have sat at my kitchen table, folded clothes on their couches, gone to playgrounds with their little ones, met at restaurants or shared over coffee. They all have in common a desire to be encouraged to become Biblical women by a “Titus 2” older woman.
Do I have all the answers? Ha! What wisdom I have comes from more from my mistakes, and believe me, I have made plenty. But do I believe that God’s word contains the answers we need as women to flourish as God intended when He created us? Oh yes! Of that I am sure.
Proverbs 31 Homesteading
You may notice in this picture God’s handiwork in the seeds he has sprouted right here in our southwest kitchen! Many of the younger sisters I know personally or have watched online have taught me much about homemaking skills that seem almost miraculous to me. They have given me new ways to give pleasure to family and friends and given me new ways to exercise hospitality to the stranger. Bottom line is they are non-verbal ways to make people feel loved.
These new skills have brought Proverbs 31 to life in me with such clarity that I call it “Proverbs 31 Homesteading”.
God raises the bread and brews the Kombucha. He provides the wood for the table and the food for us to gather around. He also breathes in us more abundant life to us, and through us to our loved ones, as we embrace the beauty of God’s design for women in His word. Come let us grow together! And remember all the while, the glory doesn’t go to us. Because…
…God sprouts the seeds.
